Painting is the only thing that has ever given me a feeling that nothing else can.
When I paint, I completely lose awareness of time. My surroundings disappear, and for those hours nothing exists except the brush, the colors, and the surface in front of me.

Drawing is where I slow down and look more closely.
Some sketches remain complete works of their own, others become the beginning of a painting.
